Ashlee Nicole Simpson, the younger sister of pop-music vixen Jessica Simpson, was born in Dallas, Texas October 3, 1984. An accomplished ballet dancer who began he studies of classical ballet at the age of 3, Simpson was admitted to the prestigious School of American Ballet in New York City at age eleven. She left the city to follow her family shortly after sister Jessica signed a record deal. Ashlee followed in her sister”s footsteps and had an accompanying reality series on MTV, The Ashlee Simpson Show. Then, in the summer of 2004 Ashlee released her first album Autobiography, which went triple platinum by September that same year. Simpson received a whirlwind of bad press following her October 2004 appearance on Saturday Night Live when she was accused of lip synching due to a technical error with the background tape. Simpson also recently appeared in the low budget film Undiscovered, which failed miserably at the box offices in 2005. Simpson”s appearances on her reality series followed her turbulent love life with fellow musician Ryan Cabrera. Following her break-up with Cabrera she was rumored to have ’stolen’ Lindsay Lohan”s love interest Wilmer Valderrama. Most recently in February 2006 Simpson told Seventeen magazine she was happy with current boyfriend Braxton Olita.
